Steve has lived in Mainland China coming upto four year's. Originally working for a leading whisky packaging company, in 2009 he officially launched Whisky Live Shanghai and Taipei. Now in the thrid year both festivals are well established with Taipei the world's largest whisky festival in the world! .Steve, originally from Mansfield England has worked in and around the whisky industry for the past eight years.
Mentored by some of Scotlands leading Master Blenders and Distillers that include Whyte and Mackay's Richard Paterson, Steve is considered to be one of Mainland China's leading independent voices on whisky. Steve actively works with the Scottish Government, the SWA and Scotch whisky leading brands specifically on whisky mentorship, protection and training. He also contributes editorial for China's only trade drinks magazine called DRiNK and was a judge in the inaugral IWSC here in Asia. |
