Ho-cheng, also known as Kingfisher in the whisky world. He fell in love with single malt in 1995, and became a Certified Malt Maniac in 2004 and, in the same year, founded the first single malt tasting club in Taiwan. Ho-cheng was appointed a Keeper of the Quaich in 2006 and has been instrumental in the launch of several new whiskies in Taiwan, He also help cask selections for many special editions, including Glenfiddich Vintage 1972 &1978 and Glenrothes Editior's Choice.
Ho-cheng is a regular commentator on whisky in Taiwanese press and translated Michael Jackson’s "Whisky" and "Single Malt Whisky Companion 6th Edition". He has tasted and written notes on more than 3,000 single malts and is also a long time judge in the annual Malt Maniac Award.
